The London-based folk singer releases his new single, 'When the Cold Days Come' on 15th November, drawing on influences from across the Atlantic for a distinctive autumnal sound.

Known for his insightful and poetic lyrics, Bard has toured throughout the summer, performing at festivals including Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Beatherder and Lounge on the Farm, and in the process winning accolades for live support with Schmercury winners Cocos Lovers in Kent.

When the Cold Days Come, Bard reveals, was conceived while living in freezing conditions in a squatted office block in London Fields in November 2008. "My guitar was my constant companion and I was lonely after a long summer". This sense of isolation gave rise to the lyrics for the single that "expresses the desire to take someone you love in your arms, and also faces the fear that they will move on."   The lyrics are set to solo folk guitar melody lending atmosphere and effect.

Bard is currently recording a new EP at Sarm Studios, for release in the new year, to be celebrated with his first UK tour.
