After a debut album self-release in the summer of 2009, Goodnight And I Wish, have returned with a brand new single, Future Plans. Their first release as a signed artist on east London indie label, Tape (The Brute Chorus).
Recorded at the world famous Sarm Studios in West London, the songs have been co-produced by singer/songwriter behind GAIW, Brandon Jacobs, who also manages to record all of the instrument parts by himself. Although initially started as a solo project, Brandon will now be accompanied onstage by a full backing band.
Goodnight And I Wish first appeared on the radar with their first EP release back in 2008, when they supported The Long Blondes at the Kentish Town Forum. Since then, the profile of the band has been building amongst London’s underground music scene, reaching a crescendo in the summer of 2009, when the first full length album was released, “A Ruffled Mind Makes A Restless Pillow”. Followed by a slot at Offset Festival, a license deal to the Vinyl Junkie label in Japan, oh, and a show performing in front of an entire nursery school in East London, where the children made their own costumes and gig tickets for the event!
Now, after nearly a year out writing and recording new demo‘s, Goodnight And I Wish promises to be bigger and better than ever. Moving on from the darker, lullaby sound of before, Future Plans offers a brighter and more optimistic feel, both lyrically and instrumentally.
